WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The West Plains Police Department says a man wanted in connection with two shooting incidents that took place on Monday has been arrested.
Police chief Stephen Monticelli says the department learned that Christopher Dusenbury was inside of a residence on Crestwood Circle the evening of Wednesday, October 23. Officers responded to the residence and made numerous attempts to contact the female resident at the home, but the occupants reportedly refused to exit, according to the chief.
Police officers and the Howell County/West Plains SWAT Team attempted negotiations with the occupants for over two hours before SWAT members forcibly made their way through the front door of the residence just after 1 am Thursday and took Dusenbury and a female occupant into custody.
Dusenbury was transported to Howell County Jail for the arrest warrants that were obtained on October 23 on the two shootings that occurred on October 21.
No injuries were reported.
Dusenbury was announced as a suspect on Wednesday following two separate shootings that took place on Monday, October 21. Police say the first incident occurred at a residence on Lincoln Avenue Monday morning where shots were fired at a residence. The second shooting took place at Crestwood Circle several hours later. No injuries were reported in those incidents.
Dusenbury was wanted on two counts of first degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action, and four counts of discharging or shooting a firearm at or from a vehicle at a person, vehicle, or structure.
Bond has been set at $250,000.
