BBB warns of Mtn. Grove business

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers to use caution when dealing with a Mountain Grove-based business.

Farmhouse Store Company is the newest business owned by Joseph Victor Ross, who previously owned Rough Country Rustic Furniture, a business that manufactured furniture and other rustic decor. That company had an “F” rating with the BBB, with nearly 1700 complaints and 400 customer reviews.

Customers told BBB the business failed to deliver goods as promised and they faced challenges receiving refunds. Rough Country Rustic Furniture suspended operations in July 2018 just prior to being sued by the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.

Ross told the BBB that he “has learned from his past mistakes” and will continue to work on responding and fixing customer complaints.
