Michael Alexzander Laxton, 19, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on December 2, 2019 at Salem, Arkansas. He was born to James Michael Laxton and Heidi Marie (Brown) Laxton on May 23, 2000 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Zander graduated from Salem High School in 2018 and attended the Missouri Welding Institute. Zander loved hunting, four wheeling, mudding, welding, and playing football. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, great grandson, and was a member of the Lanton Baptist Church in Lanton, Missouri.
He leaves to mourn his passing; parents, James and Heidi Laxton of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Zach Laxton of Salem, Arkansas; grandparents, Rhonda and Ruben Vasquez of Hooks, Texas and Jerry and Laura Brown of Salem, Arkansas; great grandparents, Linda Isaac of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Jim Brown of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Margaret Smith of West Plains, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather (Terry Laxton), and great grandparents (James Floyd Isaac, Marcia Brown, and Harvey Smith).
Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Austin Goodson, Cade Bailey, Nate Owens, Cole Young, Lonny Brown, Drew Stevens, and Lanis Brown. Memorials may be made to the Salem Mighty Mite Football Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
