WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The annual Toys For Tots Christmas concert collected nearly 400 toys for area children in need.
The event, which was held Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7 at the West Plains Civic Center, brought in 389 toys and 19 bicycles, according to event organizer Dan Duncan. Donors also gave $1459, which will also be given to the Marine Corps League for toy purchases.
Attendees could donate one new, unwrapped toy or make a monetary donation at the door to attend the concert.
Duncan says an estimated 500 people attended the two-day event.
