JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — 20 transportation projects in Missouri will receive $50 million under Missouri Governor Mike Parson’s transportation cost-share program, including one in West Plains.
The city of West Plains will receive a little over $1.2 million for access roads to Ozarks Medical Center as part of the OMC expansion project that is currently underway.
The Missouri Departments of Transportation and the state department of economic development selected the projects with the goal of delivering road and bridge projects that have the greatest economic benefit to the state, according to the governor’s office.
A total of 48 entities applied for funding requesting a total of $92 million. The selected projects will be presented to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for approval in January.
