The West Plains Zizzers played their second game in the Blue and Gold Tournament against the Spokane Owls.
The West Plains Zizzers came at the Owls fast, earning 17 points in the first quarter and the Owls answering with 8 of their own. The second quarter had both teams throwing nearly equal points on the board with the Zizzers adding 22 points, the Owls 21 points. The halftime score was the West Plains Zizzers 39 to the Spokane Owls 29.
The third quarter saw the Owls defense slowing the Zizzers, ending the quarter with the Zizzers up by four points, the score was 43 to 39. The fourth quarter saw the West Plains Zizzers bringing the thunder after the Spokane Owls managed to tie the score at 46. The West Plains Zizzers played hard and won the game with a fair lead over the Spokane Owls.
Again, the West Plains Zizzers win over the Spokane Owls in the Consolation Bracket of the Blue and Gold Tournament, 62 to 49. The Zizzers will play again on Saturday, December 28 2019 at 5:30 pm. Listen to the game on Today’s Hot Country 102.5 KKDY.
