Night Two: Liberty Invitational Tournament

Night two of the Liberty Invitational Tournament saw the battle of the Eagles as the home team Liberty Eagles went up against the Mountain Home Christian Academy Eagles. Liberty led by Zack Stretch who had 27 points, led all the way through and averaged 20 points scored per quarter. Meanwhile Sprague for Mountain Home had 28 points in the loss. Mountain Home will move to the consolation round while Liberty will continue in the tournament to play the Thayer Bobcats who won on Monday night. Liberty moves to 11-2 on the season as they look to defend their home court and tournament Thursday night against the Bobcats.

Game two of night two saw the Alton Comets go up against the Wildcats from Summersiville. Alton got out to an early lead and never looked back as they averaged at least 15 points scored per quarter, while Summersville struggled early in the game. They would pick it up in the second half though, as Duncan would have a monster night scoring 25 points for the Wildcats but they would come up short though due to a complete team effort from the Alton Comets. The Comets had at least 3 players in double figures in the game and won handedly 67-31. Alton moves on in the tournament while Summersville will move to the consolation rounds. We will have more games coming up Thursday evening as we continue the 49th annual West Plains Bank Liberty location, Liberty Invitational Tournament.
