Zizzer Speech and Debate takes third in districts

The West Plains High School Speech and Debate team hosted and competed in the MSHSAA District 6 Districts Competition and placed third in the overall Sweepstakes by finishing second in speaking events and fourth in debate events. Five West Plains High School Debaters qualified for the state completion in April.

Olivia Beard & Katy Boykin – 11^th Place,  Public Forum Debate.

Amaya Mendoza &  John Marlowe – 3^rd Place, Policy Debate

Matthew Watkins & Elizabeth Harrison – 5^th Place, Policy Debate

Katy Boykin & Akasha Davis – 8^th Place, Duo Acting

Kendra Sanders – 2^nd Place, Humorous Interpretation.  Qualified for State.

Allissah Cunningham – 2^nd Place, Dramatic Interpretation.  Qualified for State.

Jackson Wright – 7^th Place, Radio Speaking

Grace Cook – 2^nd Place, Storytelling. Qualified for State.
