W.P.: Burglary suspects arrested

On Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 7:39 AM, West Plains Police Officers responded to a Forcible Burglary at Quality Motors.  Officers found that a door to the business had been forced open whereas the suspects had taken the safe and other items from the business.

Investigators also responded to the location and began investigating the incident.  Upon review of video from the scene the suspects were identified as Alexander Frieze, age 19, and Zachary Wells, age 19.

Investigators made contact with Frieze and Wells at their residence where upon further investigation they implicated themselves in the incident. The suspects were arrested for Burglary, Felony Stealing and Property Damage and transported to the West Plains Police Department pending charges.

Charges for the above incident have been forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office for their consideration.

The West Plains Police Department has been experiencing an increase in burglaries and request that the community remain vigilant in their surroundings and report suspicious activity to the police department when they see it.
