23 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Howell Co.

The Howell County Health Department reports that an additional twenty-three cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total to of COVID cases to one hundred thirteen. There currently forty-two known active cases in the county and three currently hospitalized with COVID related complications.

Of the new cases identified, twenty-two reside in the West Plains area while one lives in Pomona. All twenty-three of these cases are isolating at home under public health guidance.

Seven of the new cases are linked to known cases in the area. Three are travel related and thirteen are considered to be community spread. Community exposures from these cases are limited to the following locations:

People visiting these locations during the dates and times identified are at LOW risk for contracting COVID-19, but should monitor themselves for symptoms.
