The Howell County Health Department reports they have received notification of six additional cases of COVID-19 identified in Howell County. This brings the total number of year to date cases to 144. At present, there are 20 known active cases in Howell County and two individuals are currently hospitalized. There has been a total of two COVID related deaths in the county, to date.
Of the new cases identified three reside in the West Plains area, one resides in the Willow Springs area, one resides in the Mountain View area and one resides in the Pomona area. All six cases are currently isolating under public health guidance. All six of the cases are identified as community spread. Significant contacts to these cases have been notified by the health department. There are no identified exposures to the general public indicated.
