Allan Chance Brewer was born September 27, 1993, in West Plains, Missouri, to Chris Brewer and Sherri (Davis) Vincent. His Papaw George considered him his birthday present, even though he was born a day later. Allan passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020, at the age of 26 years. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Anne (Abby) Dyer on September 8, 2018, at Jim & Jane Smith’s farm on the Jacks Fork River. To this union, the blessing of one child to be born in September of this year.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Allan Charles Brewer, after whom he was named.
Allan is survived by his wife, Abby Brewer, and their unborn son, Adler Charles Brewer, as well as his father, Chris Brewer, and fiancée, Sandra, and daughters; his mother, Sherri (Davis) Vincent, and husband Tony, and their children Brielle and Bradyn; his brother, Art Brewer, and girlfriend, Abby Peterson; his brother Austin Brewer, and his wife, Kelli, and their two sons, Nolan Allan and Lawson James; his step-mother, Robin Staples, and her daughter; his two grandmothers, Nancy Brewer, and Judith Banks; Tim Dyer and Carolyn Dyer, who was like a mother to him, along with their boys, Logan and wife Kimberly, Wade, and Grant, and a host of extended relatives and close friends.
He was closer to his family than one might ever understand, but he considered lots of people his family. He cared for his parents and his siblings to a fault, you might say. Chris and his three sons were so close; the three boys were inseparable. They all watched out for each other and had each other’s backs in every situation. He stayed a lot at his Nan and Pa’s, where she often loaded those three boys up together with their cousins and took them on many four wheeler rides to keep them occupied. When Little Allan was in elementary school, he would quite often call-in “sick” so he could go to Nan & Pa’s where he would either nap with Pa and hear bear stories or they would all take a trip to Blair’s Creek.
As a pre-teen and teenager, Baby Al worked at several of his family’s businesses, with his Uncle James at Brewers Ice Company, with Chris and Robin at Circle B Campground and Windy’s Canoe Rental, and with his dad at Brewer Boys convenience store. Always concerned about his family, Al dedicated his life to working the family businesses and, in later years, to provide for his own family.
Allan and Abby shared a special bond that started early in their lives. They began dating as teenagers during their high school years together at Eminence. Their love for each other continued throughout the years and they have made many great memories together that Abby will be able to share with their little one. They loved to be together, spending time with their dogs, Maverick and Goose, going to the river, and being with both of their families. No one that knew them could ever doubt the love they had for one another and the excitement they shared to be starting their family.
He never met a child he didn’t love and he was ecstatic when he and Abby learned she was pregnant with baby Adler. Al had taken care of so many babies and children that when his nephew Nolan was born, he showed Austin and Kelli how to change a diaper.
Allan gained skills and talents like no other at his and Austin’s excavation and concrete business—Brewer Boys—a company named for the three brothers. Al did everything with his brothers; they hunted, fished, went for boat rides, farmed, and worked together. Family meant everything to him. Al had many friends, which is easy to say about someone—but it’s true. He has some great family and friends here to carry on after him, people to take care of his Abby and baby Adler.
