Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Swofford

Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne Swofford was born on November 23, 1951, in Van Buren, Missouri, the son of Roy Allen and Edna Evelyn (Chronister) Swofford. He departed this world to be with Jesus from his home in Winona, Missouri, on August 22, 2020, at the age of 68 years, 9 months, and 30 days.

He married Edith Christine “Chris” Bell, and to this union, he was blessed with three children, Stacy Lynn (Bell) Minnich, James Steven “Steve” Bell, and David Michael Bell. Kenny loved and raised these children like they were his own.

Kenny enjoyed going to church events, watching his game shows and old westerns, and loved playing cards with his brother, Vernon. He loved the Lord with all his heart and loved spending time with all his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Enda Swofford; brother, Dennis Eugene Swofford; sister, Janice Kay (Swofford) Sales; and infant grandson, Justin Kyle Minnich.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Chris (Bell) Swofford; three children, Stacy Minnich and husband, Tim, Steve Bell, and David Bell all of Winona, MO; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon Swofford, and wife, Sandra of Winona, MO; and a host of nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at House of Prayer Church in Winona, Missouri with Pastor Archie Taylor officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Lawson Hollar Cemetery, Winona, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to your charity of choice.
