Howell County: 30 new COVID-19 cases

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional thirty cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to two hundred and eighty-four. Currently, there are eighty-eight known active cases in Howell County. Of these eighty-eight active cases, two are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.

Twenty-three of the new cases reside in West Plains, one in the Willow Springs, two in Pomona, one in Koshkonong, one in Pottersville and two in Mtn View. Contact tracing investigations into these cases are ongoing.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases are currently being notified and are being place on isolation or quarantine. Fifteen of the cases are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown, fifteen of the cases have been linked to known cases. Contact tracing reports no exposures to the general population.
