The Howell County Health Department reports an additional eight cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to three hundred and three. Currently, there are ninety-three known active cases in Howell County.
Of these ninety-five cases, five are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Five of the new cases reside in West Plains, one lives in Mtn. View, one in the Willow Springs, and one in Pomona. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Six of the cases are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. Two of the cases have been linked to known cases.
