Howell Co. reports 49 new cases of COVID-19

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 49 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 616.

Currently, there are 171 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 171, seven individuals are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases; 38 reside in West Plains, four live in Willow Springs, two live in Mtn. View, two live in Pomona, one lives in Peace Valley and one lives in Caulfield.

Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. Twenty of the new cases are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown.  TWenty-nine of the new cases have been linked to known cases.
