On October 5, 2020, a traffic stop was attempted on a vehicle on County Road 1010, north of Willow Springs by a Howell County Sheriff’s Department Deputy. The vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued.
During the vehicle pursuit the front seat passenger, identified as Ryan Williamson Perkins, fled on foot. Perkins was caught and taken into custody after resisting arrest.
Recovered from a box previously in Perkins’ possession was approximately 49 grams of a white crystal substance, as well as other paraphernalia items. Perkins was charged with drug trafficking, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance except for 35 grams or less of marijuana, and two charges of first degree assault on Law Enforcement.
Perkins has been transported to the Missouri Department Of Corrections.
