On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at approximately 8 a.m., West Plains Police Officers performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The vehicle was stopped where contact was made with the suspect, 29-year-old Giovanni Lane, of Popular Bluff, Missouri. At the time of the arrest, officers recovered approximately 19.1 grams of a white crystal substance from the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia.
Lane was taken into custody without incident and placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Lane was released to the custody of the Howell County Detention Center pending charges by the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
