Vaunda Lou Brown, 84, of Twin Bridges, Missouri, departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, in Twin Bridges, Missouri. She was born on September 10, 1936, in Twin Bridges, Missouri, the daughter of Albro and Barbara (White) Collins.
Vaunda Lou Collins married Glen Brown on October 29, 1953, in Douglas County, Missouri, and to this union, four children were born.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albro and Barbara; her husband, Glen; brother, Roe Collins; son Ronald Brown; and special friend, Fayne Adams.
Survivors include daughter, Sue Howe and husband, Jim of Centerview, MO; two sons, Jeff Brown and wife, Kim of Odessa, MO and Steve Brown and wife, Paula of Mountain View, MO; brothers, Lyle Collins of West Plains, MO and Paul Collins of Willow Springs, MO; sister, Lula Wheat of Vanzant, MO; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and Irene Brown.
Vaunda was a member of Big Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church family, gardening, cooking, and quilting. She enjoyed being outside and mowing grass.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Thornton Roosevelt Cemetery in Twin Bridges, Missouri, with Pastor Doug Brower officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
