Sherry began at a young age, babysitting her nieces and nephews, which was the beginning of her interest in becoming a caretaker. Later she began her career in nursing, where she worked in Granite City, Illinois, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. After raising her family, Sherry purchased Hilltop Haven, a Residential Care Facility. There she became MOM to many more individuals. Sherry dedicated her life to caring for those who couldn’t take care of themselves; from someone down on their luck and just needing a helping hand, to someone completely disabled and requiring full-time care, all the while witnessing for God, knowing her faith would lead her home, where she is now.

In her final months of life, Sherry was blessed to have her lifelong friend Fern (Fears) Dixon as her caretaker.

She was loved and will be missed by many.

Sherry is preceded in death by her daddy, “Cub”; mother, Beulah; brother, Leslie Joe; sister, Nola Lee; and grandson, Zander.

She is survived by her brother, Richard C. “Jack Rabbit” Norris; sisters, Shirley J. Osborne, Geraldine “Bobbie” Seahorn, and Lavada Jewel Alcorn; brother, Ronnie L. Norris; her children, Eric Scott (Norah) Norris, Crystal L. (James) Bizelli, Cynthia L. (Terry) Daniels, Jeremy L. (Jennifer) Basham, Jason T. (Sarah) Basham, and Zachery L. Basham; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sherry would want her life celebrated by those who knew and loved her by sharing Jesus with a lost soul.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020, in Horner Church, Winona, Missouri under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 prior to the service, also at the church.  Interment will be in Horner Cemetery, Winona, Missouri.  Memorials may be made to ALS Association.  Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
