West Plains City Council to discuss new mask ordinance

The City of West Plains announced Thursday afternoon that the city council would meet in a special session at 3:30 p.m. Monday for the first reading of Bill 4672.

According to the the City’s posted meeting agenda, Bill 4672 is a potential mask ordinance. The city’s explanation of the bill is as follows:

Bill 4672 to become Ordinance 4672. First Reading. An Ordinance establishing the requirement to wear a face covering in certain locations in order to prevent or limit the spread of Covid-19 Disease; authorizing the adoption of further orders for the implementation of the ordinance; for and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

The meeting is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Monday, November 2, at West Plains City Hall.
