On December 11, 2020 at approximately 6:57 AM, the West Plains Police Department received a report of a one vehicle motor vehicle crash on North US Highway 63 near James Gang Towing. Upon arrival, Officers observed a red Dodge passenger car resting in the driveway to James Gang Towing which had sustained major damage.
During a preliminary crash investigation, the vehicle had run off of the roadway, collided with a concrete culvert, and began overturning which caused the driver, identified as 33-year-old Todd Cason, to be ejected and was pronounced deceased on scene. Next of Kin has been notified.
The exact time and exact cause of the crash is unknown at this time. This is the second crash fatality in West Plains this year.
