David Nash

David Benjamin Wesley Nash, passed to the Lord Tuesday, January 12th, 2021.
He passed peacefully in his sleep at NHC in West Plains. He was born May 14th, 1933 in Dora, Missouri.

David graduated Dora High School. Then he served in the United States Navy during the Korean war. David married Wanda Mae (Gunter) Nash in 1955. His wife passed in 2010. They lived and raised their family in St. Joseph, Missouri for many years. As their children left home they returned to their beloved Dora, Missouri. Later he moved to West Plains and lived with his eldest son and daughter-in-law.

David had five siblings from his parents, Cecil and Oma (Bird) Nash of Dora, Missouri; Jane Nations, Paul Nash, Sara Lou Mayfield, Joe Nash (Deceased) and John Nash.
David was preceded in death by his wife Wanda (Gunter) Nash. He is survived by three children, Kathy (Nash) and Pat Violett of Dora, Missouri, Sam and Lesa (Ellis) Nash of West Plains, and Tim and Susan (Elias) Nash of Warrenton, Missouri.

David had nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

David loved his family with a special place in his heart for the children. He was a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior. David was a hard worker, dedicated husband and father. He was a loyal friend always sharing a smile and honest compassion.

He will be at Carter Funeral Home, West Plains, Missouri, with visitation from 6:00 to8:00 Friday. Funeral services will be held at First Church of God, West Plains at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Parsons Cemetery, Dora, Missouri, immediately following, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
