Ozarks Healthcare provides COVID-19 vaccine update

Since early January, Ozarks Healthcare has been collecting online submission forms from those who would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available to them as determined by the state of Missouri’s vaccination plan. As of this Wednesday evening, Ozarks Healthcare has a list of approximately 4,000 individuals who have signed up through our online form to receive the vaccine.
Through the remainder of this week, Ozark Healthcare will be working through this list and contacting individuals to let them know when they may receive the vaccine. “Please keep in mind there are several factors that can affect when an individual may qualify for a vaccine, such as age, health conditions, and work status,” said Ozarks Healthcare officials. “These are conditions set in place by the state of Missouri and not our organization. Please also keep in mind vaccine supply is still very limited across the state. The number of vaccines Ozarks Healthcare is able to receive also impacts the number of individuals we can administer doses to at one time.”
Ozarks Healthcare continued its efforts in administering booster doses and some initial vaccines to coworkers and other eligible Phase 1A, Phase 1B – Tier 1, and Phase 1B – Tier 2 individuals as indicated by the state of Missouri’s vaccination plan.
“We thank you – our community – for your continued patience as we work through this process. We know many in our community are ready to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Please know that we are working to make vaccines available as quickly as possible and will contact those on the list. Once we have more information to share, we will post it here and on all of our social media platforms. Please be aware, we are not administering the vaccines in the Emergency Department.”
