Series Snapshot vs. Tennessee

  • Mizzou leads the all-time series against Tennessee, 10-5.
  • The Tigers swept their two-match season series with the Volunteers a year ago (Oct. 20, 2019 // Nov. 24, 2019) with a victory in Knoxville and in Mid-Missouri.
  • Those two triumphs for Mizzou erased a three-match losing skid against the Volunteers from 2017-18. Mizzou and Tennessee’s all-time series has been full of streaks, as the Tigers claimed six consecutive matches from 2013-16 as well.

#Mizzou Notables

  • Two weekends ago at the Hearnes Center (Jan. 29-30), the Tigers produced back-to-back thrilling five-set victories over LSU. Senior OH Kylie Deberg stole the show yet again offensively, posting consecutive 20-plus kill outings (47 total, 4.70 per set).
  • For her outstanding play on the court, Deberg was named the Week Seven Southeastern Conference Overall and Offensive Player of the Week. It marked the third time this season that the Hudson, Iowa, native received both Overall and Offensive Player of the Week honors from the league office.
  • The Tigers look to continue their strong road play this 2020-21 campaign this weekend in Knoxville, as they carry a perfect 4-0 record in matches away from Mid-Missouri. Mizzou has produced fantastic team stats across the board on the road, highlighted by 199 kills (12.44 per set) on .320 hitting, 1.44 aces per set and 2.25 blocks per set.
  • Individually, sophomore OH Anna Dixon has particularly flourished on road contests, tallying 48 kills (3.00 per set) on .340 hitting over four matches.
