Houston, MO—Texas County Memorial Hospital has named Billy Hebblethwaite of Houston the January employee of the month.
Hebblethwaite is a certified nursing assistant in the medical surgical department. He has been employed at TCMH for six years. Theresa Gregg, medical surgical and ICU department director, nominated Hebblethwaite for the award.
“Billy is a great employee and an asset to our department,” Gregg said. “He is a veteran and connects with our patients, especially the ones who are also veterans.”
Gregg explained that since the pandemic, Hebblethwaite has went out of his way to give their patients who are in COVID isolation “extra time” so they do not feel as lonely.
“Despite the overwhelming amount of work everyone has on their plate, Billy consistently finds ways to help his fellow co-workers in our department,” Gregg said.
As employee of the month, Hebblethwaite received a certificate honoring his achievement; a pin; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a $50 gift card, and gift certificates to Paws N Claws, D&L Florist, Wehr Motors, Savor Grill and Big Red Car Wash. A reception will be held in his department to honor Hebblethwaite.
Hebblethwaite is eligible for the 2021 TCMH employee of the year award.
