One person is dead and three are critically injured following a shooting Saturday (4/10) morning at the Koshkonong Snappy Mart.
According to Jeff Kinder, Missouri State Highway Patrol – Troop G Information Officer, a 28-year-old male and resident of Oregon County entered the convenience store at 5:15 a.m. and shot four people with a handgun. A store employee called 911. When law enforcement arrived on scene, the suspected shooter was gone.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, the other three were transported to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. They were then transported to Springfield hospitals with critical injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.
Following a tip called in to the Howell County Sheriff’s Department, the suspected shooter was located and apprehended approximately four hours after the shooting. The suspect is being held in the Howell County Jail. The suspect’s name is being withheld until the filing of charges.
