Work continues at the Southern Hills Shopping Center in West Plains. Ozark Radio News had the opportunity to speak with West Plains City Economic Development Director Dave Bossemeyer. He gave us the latest update on the shopping center:
Bossemeyer: Harbor Freight and Burke Family Outlet are both moving along, both internally and externally. You have probably noticed a new facade going up to make that all look like one big cohesive center.
Additional stores could be added to the Southern Hills Shopping Center with the news of JC Penney closing. According to JCPenney officials, the last day the store will be open is May 16th.
Bossemeyer: We are in discussion with other clothing firms to go in there. Those conversations have been very positive. So, we’ll hopefully move forward with that.
