Ozark Vitality is a nonprofit organization formed to help make the Ozarks a better place to work, play and live. Since its inception in 2015, Ozark Vitality has been involved in many aspects of Ozark life; from major disaster recovery efforts, to creating artist innovation hubs. Currently, the organization is focused on impacting tourism and economic growth in the Eastern Ozarks region. One of their projects is a short documentary series called My Ozarks, which highlights some of the people and places that make the Ozarks special, and generates visibility for some of the artisans and entrepreneurs around the region.
The My Ozarks documentaries are created with professional filmmakers who are uniquely talented at capturing the beauty and spirit of the Ozarks. Together, the filmmakers and the Ozark Vitality team are experts in digital content production, and will soon begin hosting workshops and offering internship opportunities to help train local entrepreneurs to create their own digital content and gain the necessary exposure to attract tourists and generate additional economic growth.
