Mizzou Softball’s season comes to an end after falling to James Madison by a score of 7-2 in the final game of the Columbia Super Regional.
The West Plains High School Zizzers competed Friday in the Class 4 State Track and Field Championships. The boys team finished 6th overall and girls placed 11th. Riley Simpson became the first Zizzer distance runner in school history to complete the triple crown by winning the state championship in the 3200 meter run, 1600 meter run, and 800 meter run. Emily Howell became the First Lady Zizzer to win a state championship in a throwing event, wining the discus competition. Zizzers earning all-state by event with top-8 finishes.
