Ava, MO – The Douglas County Sheriff Office is operating on emergency status following a COVID-19 outbreak among staff and inmates. While operating under emergency status, the DCSO will not be scheduling Concealed Carry Weapon permits until next week. If there is need to file a non-emergency report, citizens should call 417-683-1020.
Sheriff Chris Degase spoke on the matter “Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but I believe we need to handle this responsibly and minimize contact with inmates and the public until this runs it’s course. Should you have any questions feel free to contact the Douglas County Sheriffs Office.”
