Mountain View, MO – Three people were injured in a head-on collision near Mountain View on the morning of July 27, 2021. The accident occurred at 9:22 a.m. two miles west of Mountain View on County Road 3030. A 2008 Scion TC driven by Jorden Owens, 24 of West Plains, failed to maintain the right side of the road while making a left-hand turn and struck an oncoming 2016 Chevy Cruze driven by a 17-year old female from Birch Tree. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision.
The juvenile driver of the Chevy Cruz was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View. Owens and her passenger, Christian Denton, 25 of West Plains, were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. None of the persons involved were wearing a safety device.
