Willow Springs, MO – Rain and wet roadways make for difficult driving conditions as a Willow Springs woman discovered yesterday afternoon in Texas County. A one vehicle accident occurred seven miles north of Houston, Missouri on Highway 63 at 4:22 p.m. due to standing water.
A southbound 2012 Dodge Caravan driven by Sheryl Ford, 63 of Willow Springs, hydroplaned, crossing the center of the roadway and struck a guardrail, sliding 20 feel along the guardrail. The Dodge suffered extensive damage and Ford was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital for moderate injuries. Ford was wearing her safety device.
