Ava, MO – An Ava teen is in the hospital after an early morning wreck on August 31. The accident occurred at 4:35 Tuesday morning on County Road 210 three miles east of Ava. A 2001 Chevy Suburban being driven by a lone 15-year-old male ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
The vehicle suffered minor damage. The juvenile was not wearing a safety device and suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. There was no report of the juvenile driver being accompanied by an adult.

The accident was investigated by Trooper W. Waddlington of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G.
