Pair hurt in Theodosia crash on Wednesday

Gainesville, MO – A pair of elderly women were injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash three miles west of Theodosia on Highway 160. The accident occurred at 1:43 p.m. on September 8 when a 1997 Ford F150 driven by Ruth Geiger, 62 of Theodosia, attempted to make a left turn and was struck by a 1999 Mazda B2500 pickup driven by Josiah Newsom, 18 of Lead Hill, AR. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.

Geiger and her passenger, Venlissa Snell, 66 of Opal, WY, suffered minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. Newsom was not reported as being injured in the crash.
