West Plains, MO – An Ava man is in serious condition after a motorcycle crash on Saturday night. The accident occurred at 9:55 p.m. September 25, 2021 on Highway 14, 3.5 miles west of Ava in Douglas County.
A westbound 2002 Yahama motorcycle driven by Joshua Robertson, 26 of Ava, failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the roadway, ejecting the driver from the vehicle. The vehicle was totaled.

Robertson was seriously injured in the crash and was taken by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment. Robertson was wearing a safety device.
This accident was investigated by Trooper W. Wadlington of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G.
