Gainesville, Mo. – A head-on collision near Theodosia injured three people, with one with serious injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 3:58 a.m. Saturday morning on Highway P, four miles southwest of Theodosia.
A southbound 2004 GMC Sierra driven by Orval Merriman, 47 of Alton, Mo., crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2008 Chevy Aveo driven by Dustin Perry, 31 of Isabella, Mo. head-on.
Merriman and his passenger, Michelle Wilcox, 37 of Alton, suffered minor injuries and sought their own medical treatment. Perry suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Both vehicles were totaled and no person involved in the crash had been wearing a safety device.
