While many area schools and businesses are making preparations, individuals should take precaution if they must drive in the weather. Numerous accidents have been reported across the region as vehicles slide off the roadway, fender benders and low-damage accidents become commonplace, and traffic slows to a crawl.
For the Ozark Radio News listening area, the National Weather Service in Springfield is expecting the heaviest snowfall amounts to be between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. with snow continuing to fall into the afternoon. Total snowfall is expected to be between 1 and 3 inches.
