Mizzou Hosts No. 23 Razorbacks Tuesday

COLUMBIA, Mo. — The University of Missouri men’s basketball team kicks off a stretch of four games in an eight-day period Tuesday, Feb. 15 against No. 23 Arkansas. The matchup is scheduled for 8 p.m. on SEC Network with Tom Hart, Dane Bradshaw and Alyssa Lang on the broadcast. Mike Kelly and Chris Gervino will have the call on Tiger Radio Network.

MIZZOU HEADLINES

• Mizzou is coming off a 74-68 win on Saturday against Ole Miss, securing its first SEC season sweep of a team in 2021-22.
• It was the Tigers’ first back-to-back wins against Ole Miss in program history.
• Javon Pickett scored 14 against the Rebels, extending his stretch of consecutive double-digit scoring games against SEC opponents to eight-straight.
• The senior is shooting a team-best 51.7 percent from the floor against conference opponents, which ranks fourth in the SEC.
• Saturday against Ole Miss, Mizzou had five players in double-digit scoring and shot 53.8 percent as a team.
• The Tigers’ were 50 percent (7-of-14) from three-point range, their highest of the season when attempting more than 10.
• Kobe Brown’s 8.1 rebounds per game rank fifth in the SEC and among the top-75 nationally.
• As a team, Mizzou has shot 50 percent or better in three of its last four games.

THE SERIES

• Arkansas leads the all-time series, 31-26, and took the prior meeting between the two teams earlier this season.
• Mizzou has the 15-11 advantage at home, including four of its last five in Columbia.
• 27 of the 57 all-time games in the series have been decided by five points or less, including four of the last seven.
• In the earlier meeting this season, Pickett led Mizzou with 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting, while Trevon Brazile had a career-high eight rebounds.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS

• Arkansas’ SEC-best nine game win streak was snapped on Saturday in a one-point game at Alabama.
• The Razorbacks are 3-3 on the road this season, but have road wins against LSU, Georgia and Ole Miss.
• Arkansas has two of the top SEC career scoring leaders, as Stanley Umude and JD Notae rank second and third among active SEC players.
• Jaylin Williams currently ranks second in the SEC with 9.2 rebounds per game while Notae is second in points per game with 18.8.
• As a team, Arkansas leads the conference in free throws made and is third in assists per game.
