The latest winter storm in the Ozarks brought with it a plethora of hazardous conditions. Across the Ozarks, many companies, schools, and facilities have closed their doors, and of course, accidents have been aplenty. Within two days, we’ve seen rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain, thunder and lighting all in the same storm.
Highway 62 and 63 just south of the Missouri border have seen several strange and dangerous incidents, and while official reports aren’t ready yet, there has been word of fatalities in a semi-truck related incident, and a chicken truck rollover, leaving the highway strewn in feathers.
Conditions are dangerous across our entire listening area, and we hope you’ll all make prudent judgement calls on driving. If you absolutely need to go out, remember to drive slowly and carefully, and carry food and blankets in case of situations where you may be isolated after an accident.
The Winter Storm Warning is still in effect until tonight at 9PM tonight, February 24th, 2022.
