Ava, MO. – Since February of 2022 the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has been conducting an investigation on Ronnie Dollarhide, age 44 of Ava, MO regarding inappropriate contact with children. On February 25, 2022, Dollarhide was initially charged with Sexual Misconduct Involving a child under 15 years of age and bond was set at NO BOND.
As the investigation continued by Douglas County Detectives Deputy Roberts, Detective Long and The Children’s Division on March 17, 2022, another warrant was issued for Dollarhide for Statutory Rape or Attempted Statutory Rape 1st Degree with a person less than 14 years of age. Bond on this case was set at $50,000 Cash only.
Sheriff Degase commends the tenacity of Detectives Roberts, Long and the Children’s Division as they continued to investigate this case.
All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
