Jerry loved doing Rodeos, making horse tack, working with leather, giving riding lessons, dancing, playing competitive Phase10 games with family, fishing, and most of all his grandchildren. There was hardly ever a gathering he wasn’t teaching his grandchildren something, like how to rope, tying the perfect knots, and even coloring.
Jerry served as President of the XIT Rangers Riding Club, member of AQHA & Paint Horse Association, and Served on the Board of Open Arms Therapy in Dalhart, Texas, Jerry attended School in Hereford, Texas. Since the age of 16 he always worked at ranches and feed yards along with breaking and training horses.
On January 1, 1999 he was married to Brenda (Brinkley) in Canadian, Texas.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 23 years Brenda of the family home; 7 Children , Christopher (Nicole)

He is survived by 24 Grandchildren and 8 Great- Grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jerry was preceded in death by: His Parents Robert and Virgie Cozbey; Sister Barbara & Husband
Norman Hought; Brother in law RS Smith; Sister-in-law Mary Cozbey and Son-in-law Troy Trujillo.
Services will be 1pm Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO, with burial in the Huddleston Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
