New Chief of Police for Willow Springs: Wes Ellison

According to Hogan, sometime last year he contracted COVID-19, of which he has to be hospitalized for. He had since recovered well, but the long symptoms have lessened his ability to act as the Police Chief. This has caused him to opt for early retirement.

A hiring committee was formed and they made a recommendation to the Willow Springs City Council on April 19.  The Willow Springs City Council voted unanimously to approve the recommendation for Wes Ellison to be the next Police Chief for the Willow Springs Police Department.

Bryan Hogan has worked for the Willow Springs Police since 2005, and was appointed as the City Police Chief in 2016. He started his career in Law Enforcement in Willow Springs in 1992, and was away for some time before coming back. Hogan has also performed as the Police Chief of Mountain View.

Hogans last day is set for May the 27th, whereupon Wes Ellison will take over the position. As a parting statement, Hogan has stated that he will miss working with the citizens of Willow Springs, and that they have always been a tremendous source of support.
