University of Missouri Women’s Basketball Head Coach Robin Pingeton announced the addition of Jasmine James to the Tigers staff as an assistant coach. James, who joins Mizzou after spending two seasons at Tennessee Tech, has experience coaching at the high school and collegiate level and was a standout player in the Southeastern Conference who went on to be a 2013 WNBA Draft pick and had a four-year professional career.
(MSU-WP), has announced the signing of five more players to the 2022-2023 roster. They include Lauren Akin, Crane, second baseman Lexy Bridges, Diamond, first baseman Mackenzie Massey, Granby, shortstop Tessa Feeback, Fordland, utility player Brooklyn Atterberry, Plato, catcher. These five will join four other players who already have signed with the Grizzlies. They include Megan McCrackin, West Plains Trinity Elliott, Mountain Grove Aubrey Antle, Exeter and Madison Good, Branson.
Congratulations to Dylan Cooper and Lexi Shumpert of Liberty High School on signing to continue their education and participate collegiate athletics. Dylan will be attending Baptist Bible College to play golf and Lexi will attend Missouri State-West Plains to play volleyball.

The Lady Tigers and Ava Lady Bears softball teams faced off for the Class 2, District 4 championship Wednesday night and Houston brought home the trophy with a 7-3 victory. Houston is now 18-5 on the season and will next take on Central (Park Hills) in state semifinal play on May 23 in Springfield
