West Plains, MO. – On Monday, June the 6th, the Howell County Sheriff’s Department responded to information stating that a man staying at a local hotel in West Plains was selling illegal narcotics.
Responding to the call was Deputy Smith and Lieutenant Long, who later encountered the subject in question at a local convenience store off of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. The subject was then identified as Douglas Patterson, who had already had active warrants for his arrest.
An on-scene Narcotics K-9 unit alerted to narcotics, allowing a probable cause search of the subjects vehicle. Inside were 2 bags of suspected meth, 1 bag of suspected fentanyl powder, and various distribution equipment.
Patterson is being held on a $100,000 bond, and is being charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and Attempt to Escape From Custody.
