Ethel Marie Adams-Roberts

 

Ethel Marie Roberts a resident of Willow Springs passed away July 14, 2022, while at CoxHealth Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. Ethel was born December 29, 1946, in Mountain View, Missouri to Willard Charles and Inez Ellen (Carey) Adams, and was 75 years old.

She attended rural school in Hutton Valley and finished her secondary education at Willow Springs High School. Ethel worked at Conway Winter Shoe Factory in Willow Springs and also Brown Shoe Factory in Cabool; however, she was well known for her 15 years at Town and Country Supermarket as a checker. She was married to Jerry Allen Roberts in January of 1965 in Willow Springs. She and Jerry loved to travel especially out west to Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore. Some of her favorite times were spent playing bingo on Tuesday nights or working on her latest quilt project with the sewing group at Westside Family Life Center. She loved quilting and had sold several of her own. Ethel especially loved to call up family members to join her in a game of Yahtzee. She will be dearly missed by her family, her many friends, and all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Francis “Grumpy” Adams, and her sister, Helen Lovan.

She is survived by her husband Jerry; her children: Sheila Roberts Beltz and friend, Rico, Carl Roberts, Anna Roberts and friend, Boone; two brothers, Ronald Adams and his wife, Carol and Charles Adams all of Willow Springs. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Ethel will be held Monday, July 18, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at Pine Grove Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Tooley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC. Online condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com.
