Flippin, AR. – A Flippin man who was previously arrested for the abuse of a 2-year-old in 2019 has been arrested again under charges of Kidnapping, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Assault on a Household Member, Domestic Battery, Terroristic Threatening, Theft of Property, and Interfering with Emergency Communications.
Ivan Froit, 33 of Flippin was originally arrested in 2019 for the abuse of his two-year-old son, where signs of abuse where clearly present. He was sentenced to 10 years of supervised probation at this time.
The current arrest is surrounding events from the day of August 9th of this year, where an intoxicated Froit entered a residence, choked the female occupant to unconsciousness multiple times to prevent her from leaving, threw her down a set of stairs, attempted rape, and committed other injuries through violent action.
After an extended period, the victim managed to escape and went to the Flippin PD for assistance. Froit is looking at the above listed felony charges, with class Y being on the table. His bond is set at $50,000.
