Robert came to America at the age of three with his parents. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of La Verne, in La Verne, CA, with a B.A. in Business Administration. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, and proudly served his country for 20 years. He worked in aviation electronics while in the Navy, and was fortunate to serve in many locations around the world. He was stationed in Hawaii, Guam, Washington, D.C., San Diego, and Florida, to name a few. He married Romilly on April 7, 1967, in Lemoore, CA, and to this union, 4 daughters were born. When he wasn’t working, he would work on his “to do list”, repair electronics, surf the internet, work on vehicles, or go fishing. Robert had a great sense of humor, and he loved game nights and discussing politics. However, probably his favorite pastime was taking a nap. He and Romilly were faithful members of Pomona Christian Church. He will be dearly missed by his family, his friends, and all who knew him.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Betty Jo Stinson, and a brother, Steven Lutes.

He is survived by his wife, Romilly; four daughters: Shannon Conley and her husband, Timothy; Heather Sixsmith and her husband, Jeff; Talitha Collins; and Christina Lutes. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren: Dani Collins, Taegen Conley, Victoria Sixsmith, Kaylee Sixsmith, Nathaniel Sixsmith, Alejandro Sixsmith, Isaac Sixsmith, and Brandon McLaughlin.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in Robert’s memory be made to Global Training Network c/o Robert Edmondson at PO Box 6507, Peoria, AZ or donations may be made online, account # 73500.
