On August 16th, a woman from Calico Rock attempted to steal from a bank inside of a Wal-Mart in Mountain Home, by the way of stating she had a bomb in her purse, and she wanted $1000 from bank tellers.
Security footage had identified the vehicle she left in and in less than two hours the suspect was apprehended. She was identified Crystal Sherr, 51 of Calico Rock, AR.
Sherr is charged with a class Y felony, Aggravated Robbery. Sherr has alleged as being not guilty to the robbery, but has admitted she robbed the bank because she needed money.
Over 3/4 of the stolen money was recovered, and there is speculation that Sherr may have been involved in another previous bank robbery incident. Sherr is being held in the Baxter County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
