Licking, MO. – Just yesterday, the death of an inmate was announced out of the South Central Correctional Facility, and today, two more deaths have been announced. The deaths announced were Roy Sinden, 64, and Terrell Dawson, 42.
Their press releases read as follows:
“At 3:42 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2022, offender Roy Sinden, DOC No. 160441, Missouri, was
pronounced dead at South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri.
Sinden was a 64-year-old offender serving a 10-year sentence for driving while intoxicated from
Boone County. Sinden was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections for this period of
incarceration on Dec. 1, 2016.
Sinden died of apparent natural causes.”
“At 1:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2022, offender Terrell Dawson, DOC No. 1067981, Missouri,
was pronounced dead at South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri.
Dawson was a 42-year-old offender serving a two life sentences for two counts first-degree
murder, two 99-year sentences for two counts of armed criminal action, two 15-year sentences for
kidnapping and first-degree burglary all from Buchanan County, and a 5-year sentence for violence
to an inmate by an inmate from Texas County. Dawson was received in the Missouri Department
of Corrections for this period of incarceration on Oct. 22, 2002.
An autopsy will be conducted.”
